Share your home record with a link

Sharing a home creates a public link to a read-only page with the property's details, its systems, and its rooms. Anyone with the link can view it without signing in. It is meant for a buyer, an agent, an inspector, or a family member who needs the facts about the house and not your paperwork. Turn it off at any time, and the link stops working.

Turn sharing on

1. Open My Home and open the property.
2. Click "Share" in the header. Sharing is enabled immediately; you will see "Sharing enabled — link is ready" and the button now reads "Sharing".
3. Click "Sharing" to open the "Public Share Link" popover. Copy the link with the copy button ("Link copied to clipboard").
4. Send the link however you like. It works for anyone, signed in or not.

What the shared page shows

• The property name, the full address, and bedrooms, bathrooms, and square feet.
• Property Details: Type, Year Built, Stories, Lot Size, Foundation, Roof, Heating, Cooling.
• Home Systems: each system's category, condition, name, and brand and model.
• Rooms.

It does not show documents, maintenance history, finances, inventory, photos, or contacts. If you want a buyer to have documents, send them separately, or export them from the Data Export page; the share link is deliberately the short version. Because the link shows the full address, share it only with people who should have it.

Turn sharing off

Open the "Sharing" popover and click "Stop sharing" ("Sharing disabled"). The link is cleared and stops working at once. If you turn sharing on again later, a new link is generated; the old one stays dead.

Other ways to hand over the record

• Home Summary (Records & Value, under Show more) is a one-page resume of the home, what it has, how it has been cared for, and what has been invested, with a "Print / PDF" button. It is the better format for a listing packet.
• Export on the property page downloads the full record as a JSON file, and Data Export can bundle every document and photo into one ZIP. Those are for a new owner, not a prospective one; the documents you keep are the part of the record that goes with the house.
