You can go from a new account to a home with a maintenance schedule in about five minutes. Sign up, then the onboarding wizard asks five short steps about the house, and when you finish it creates the property, the systems you selected, and a starter set of maintenance tasks matched to those systems.

Go to the sign-up page. Use "Sign up with Google", or fill in Full name, Email, and Password (at least 8 characters) and click "Create Account". If your setup requires email confirmation you will see "Check your email"; open the link in that message to activate the account. If you already have an account with that email, sign in at the login page instead.

If your builder sent you a claim link, start from that link rather than from sign-up; claiming a home from a builder walks through it and skips onboarding entirely.

The five onboarding steps

Anyone with no properties is taken to onboarding automatically. Your answers are kept if you refresh.

  1. Property Basics. Property Name (a nickname like "Our Family Home"), Street Address, City, State, ZIP Code, and Property Type (Single Family, Condo, Townhouse, Multi-Family, Mobile Home, or Other) are required. Year Built is optional and helps estimate system lifespans. Then choose "Existing home" or "Newly built"; newly built adds a builder step.
  2. Home Systems. Tick the systems and appliances the home has, from a list of fifteen (Central Air Conditioning, Furnace/Heating System, Water Heater, Roof, Electrical Panel, and so on). This list decides which maintenance tasks are created, so be accurate rather than generous. You can add more later.
  3. Property Details. Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Square Footage, Stories. All optional.
  4. Builder Info (newly built homes only, and optional). Builder Name, Warranty Start, Warranty End, Structural Warranty Provider, Builder Support Email, Builder Support Phone. Click "Skip" if you do not have these yet.
  5. You're All Set! Review the details. Leave "Add a photo of my home automatically" checked to pull a street-level exterior photo from the address, or click "Choose a photo" to upload your own (JPG, PNG, or WEBP up to 10 MB). Click "Finish Setup".

The celebration screen shows how many systems are tracked and how many maintenance tasks were scheduled. Click "Go to my dashboard".

What you have now

  • The property, set as your primary home, in My Home.
  • Each selected system on the Systems & Features page, ready for brand, model, serial, and warranty dates.
  • A starter maintenance plan under Maintenance, with first due dates staggered over the next six months. Setting up the maintenance schedule covers editing those tasks and adding your own.
  • An empty Documents page waiting for the closing paperwork; organizing documents in the vault is the next thing to do.

Adding a second home

Open My Home in the sidebar and click "Add Property". The form asks for the same basics (Property Name, Street Address, City, State, ZIP Code, Property Type, and the optional details) and "Create Property" takes you to the new home's page. Switch between homes with the property switcher at the top of the sidebar. During the free beta there is no limit on the number of properties.
